You know how the Olympics started, it used to be a big Greek festival sports thingmabobber with nails in the boxing gloves and the whatnot. As sports became more civilized, and as the world became more civilized, the Olympics became a international sporting event. Which is why I bring this up.
Athens is counting down the 100 days until it gets its turn for the grand event. Quite frankly, I hate Greece. The only reason I may hate countries is because of their human rights abuses.
Greece isn`t a peaceful democracy. Their prisons are hell, and the police deal out severe abuse of their people. There is an entire Amnesty International report every YEAR on Greece. Yet, they are being given this honorary title of Olympics holder.
What about China? China was given the 2008 Olympics games, and it`s hell living in China, compared to Texas. Here`s a summary of China: worst one-child policy in the world, 1989 Tiananmen Square massacre, Communism, stealing bombs from Western nations, and the like.
I know for a fact that China did an extensive cover-up campaign to aid them getting the Olympics, because apparently human rights DOES matter, but when you`ve been given the title, you can`t turn back. China went back to pure shit.
