Chris Lofton was named the Southeastern Conference Player of the Week after scoring a season-high 29 points in leading the Vols to an 80-76 win over second-ranked Florida. It is the second time he has been honored this season.
He also picked off a Corey Brewer pass on a two-on-one fast break and found
Dane Bradshaw at the other end of the floor to give Tennessee a 78-76 lead with 20 seconds left. Lofton scored half (18) of Tennessee's 36 first half points on 7-of-9 shooting from the field against the Gators. He also sealed the game with two free throws with six seconds left
