Well it looks like there's an outside chance that Rony Turiaf may still join the Lakers sometime before the playoffs,as they've just signed him to a contract. what a miracle that would be for a guy to be able to come back and play in the NBA after having heart surgery. It's indeed a modern medical miracle and a testiment to how hard Turiaf must have worked and how badly he wants to play in the NBA. With the unanticipated slow development of Kwame,the Lakers can use all the help they can get at the power forward position,especially when the playoffs roll around and they sure as hell need someone with the tenasity/skill/power of a Turiaf.Anyone who can come back from an open heart surgery in less than a full season,sure as hell has plenty of heart,will,desire and determination.
