Tennessee sophomore guard Chris Lofton was one of 22 players named to the official voting ballot for the 2005-06 Wooden Award All-American Team and Player of the Year, presented annually to the nation's top collegiate basketball player. The winner will be announced on Saturday, April 8, during a national CBS telecast of the John R. Wooden Award ceremony that will air live at 2 p.m. EST from The Los Angeles Athletic Club.

In SEC games this year, Lofton ranked third in the league with 18.1 points per game while leading the league with his 46.9 percent 3-point shooting and 3.81 3-pointers per game. His 48.8 field goal percentage ranks fifth in the SEC and is best among the league's guards. The Maysville, Ky., native's 103 3-pointers this season are the most in UT history and rank in a tie for fourth on the SEC single-season lists
