MLB's Late Attack
Late last week Bud Selig decided to launch an investigation into the steroid use in baseball. So Major League Baseball decided to higher Walt Disney's CEO, George Mitchell to do the investigation. This is all for show. Why so late in the game, well let me be the one person with half a brain to tell you. It's all for show, and completely full of shit in my opinion.
Now I try to back my rants with facts, one thing that really gets me is that people like to argue until they are blue in the face about topics such as this and it is their personal belief or some shit they heard from "a friend"
Bud Selig was pressured into this investigation by politics, maybe even from the president himself (and we all know how I feel about George Bush). The fact of the matter is, what can he really do to Barry Bonds, Jason Giambi, and Gary Sheffield. I can tell you right now, NOTHING, not a god dam thing.
Do you really think that the Players Union will allow for anything to happen to these three and others who were taking steroids prior to it being illegal in 2002, NOPE, wont happen. When Bonds, Giambi, and Sheffield made their statements to the Grand Jury, it was supposed to be sealed, not for the public, they were not being investigated. Who was paid off and leaked the information to the San Francisco Chronicle, we will probably never know, but I can state this as a fact, anything that will be obtained by MLB during this investigation cannot come from the grand jury testimony unless the person lied under oath or if the person did not have immunity.
Steroids were not illegal in baseball until 2003and no one can be punished for anything prior. So what if Bonds or Sheffield did say that they juiced prior to 2002, what can MLB do about it, not a god dam thing. Bud I have some news for you, you're a little late.
