In
2003, Marion Jones gave birth to a son, Tim Jr., named after his father
Tim Montgomery, who broke the
100 m World Record in 2002. Because of her
pregnancy, Jones missed the 2003 World Championships, but spent a year preparing for the
2004 Olympics. Montgomery was banned from the sport after admitting to the use of performance enhancing drugs.
