But what you can never tell is who will be re-signed throughout the year, or who will be traded to a team who is going to sign them long term. Last season, this year looked like it was going to be a great FA off season... didn't turn out that way.

Next season, you have Thornton, Iginla, Nasland, Rolston, Morrison, Marleau, Heatley, Rolston. But there is probably few of them that will just be let go for nothing.
