Since 2000, authorities have removed the bodies of four women from Ricky Carl Clark's East Knox County home, which has been described as "a known drug house."
Now the 48-year-old Clark will have to answer for the most recent death on Jan. 14.
Knox County Sheriff Jimmy "J.J." Jones said Clark was arrested Tuesday and charged with second-degree murder in connection with the morphine overdose death of 40-year-old Penny Welch.
When Clark was booked at the Knox County Detention Facility, jailers found six morphine pills "that were taped to his rectum," according to court records.
Clark was released after posting a $30,000 bond on the charges of murder and introducing contraband into the jail.
