NICE! I've been hearing about this, but have yet to see it. Should concussion boy really have such a fast car? I hope those tricky doors don't confuse him and close on his head.

The Flyers probably will need a new backup goalie when the regular season starts Oct. 11.

Antero Niittymaki, who had a 12-9-2 record and a 2.91 goals-against average as Marty Biron's backup last season, had minor surgery on his left hip Friday and was walking around on crutches yesterday at the Flyers' practice facility in Voorhees.

Niittymaki is expected to be sidelined for four to six weeks, trainer Jim McCrossin said. That means he will miss training camp, which starts Saturday, along with the exhibition season. He could miss a handful of regular-season games, although Niittymaki said he hopes to be ready for the opener against the New York Rangers at the Wachovia Center.

With Niittymaki sidelined, the Flyers have invited veteran Maxime Ouellet, a 27-year-old free agent, to camp. Ouellet, the Flyers' No. 1 pick (22d overall) in the 1999 draft, has played primarily in the AHL but has had brief stints with the Flyers, Washington and Vancouver.

LMFAO!!!! Remember when all hell broke loose in the "Oates deal"? We traded our goalie of the future, Ouellet for a rent a player in Adam Oates. Oh man i hope he joins our team again.
