so rutgers smushes ball state as expected..ray rice 280 yards and 4 tds..no decision on whether he goes pro or not but my guess is he'll leave
overall not the best season but another bowl win is better than what it used to be... |

It really was a joke that they matched those two teams up. There was a reason Rutgers was my most confident game in the bowl picks thing. It wasn't even watchable unless you are a Rutgers fan.

i agree...i watched it...obviously...but we were bigger, stronger, faster, our cheerleaders were prettier, etc...
hopefully the Big East can get better bowl tie-ins soon...i wished we made the gator bowl or something like that...a more competitive game |

It was really a can't win situation for Rutgers. If they lost, they would be blasted for losing to a team like Ball St. If they won, everyone would say they were supposed to win. Sure its nice to get the bowl win of course, but beating a bigger team would help them for the future.

agreed...but a bowl win is a bowl win..if they didn't friggin blow 3 or 4 of those games that they had leads in, we wouldn't of even had the discussion...but the big east has terrible bowl tie-ins...nothing like what the big ten or sec has

it only april and today rutgers has landed a 4 star QB from pennsylvania who's rated the #6 qb in the country and is in the top 30 overall recruits in the country...Tom Savage is his name and its the highest rated qb reruit we've ever landed..i expect big things from him on a b-ball note..devin ebanks, who signed with indiana originally but got his release has narrowed his choices to memphis, texas, wvu and rutgers...he had rutgers as his #2 choice before signing with indiana so i'm hoping he picks us...he's very highly regarded and would make a great duo with mike rosario(who was a mcd's all american) |

so devin ebanks decided to sign with west virginia which makes me think bob huggins has offered him tons of illegal things since wvu was not a favorite until after he visited there...but despite the loss of ebanks, rutgers gets a consolation prize in jonathan mitchell, a 4 star recruit out of new york who was recruited by billy donovan and the florida gators...he played 2 years there and due to over recruiting the position, he left the school and signed with us and will be eligible in 2009...he was mr. basketball in the state of new york in 2006
