Good lord... there has to be a clause in his contract that says we can get out of it if he can't throw a strike to Randy Johnson.

Agreed, when it was 3-0 Randy stood up straight, put the bat litterally on his shoulder and I don't think even looked up at Eaton and STILL Eaton couldn't throw a strike, not even close to a strike, so far outside it would have been behind a left handed batter. Maybe he's afraid of the stache?

Great come back win last night by the Fightins, Kendrick didn't look very good at all early on, of course the man himself brought home the victory, Chase rules.

Of course the big man is continuing his struggles, 0 - 4 with 3 strike outs, out of I believe 120 or so at bats he has 50 K's, thats just terrible. I think he'll pull out of this, but the panic button could be pressed soon. Good thing is to me that he hasn't been losing us games so to speak but he certainly isn't helping and I'm worried about waiting too long and actually letting him become a reason for a loss. He needs to turn things around he looks like a lost puppy out there swinging the bat. I think its time to move him in the lineup especially with Rollins coming back, no need to have a sure out in the 4 hole with guys on base. Swap him with Burrell for now and see what happens.

Lidge = Stud

Maybe Howard needs contacts or stronger contacts? It shouldn't be possible for a MLB player to strike out nearly 50% of the time he comes to the plate.

Lidge is lights out, nice to see him back to form, or at least near form, lets just hope he stays healthy.

I don't know what to do with Howard, thats just horrible, most people would be fired if they performed like that at their jobs.

I'll take the split series, we faced really good pitching (especially last night) and came out with 2 wins, with a slumping Howard and JRoll out and an Eaton taking the mound what more can you really ask for.

Welcome back JRoll this weekend!

Meyers continues his struggles, but at least wasn't as horrible as he has been, however only striking out 2 is not a good sign at all.

The phils are in a bit of a slump losing 8 of their last 11, and Utley and Burrell have cooled significantly from their incredible April's. Howard continues to struggle as well but is showing some signs of life.

Eaton needs to go, I don't care if they blast his ass off into outspace...he still blows and is just getting worse it seems. Move him to the pen for situational use and bring up a pitcher or give Durbin a shot (though I'd rather keep the pen from losing anyone because they've been great thus far). Besides Hamels the ERA's of the rest of the 4 are terrible (Kendrick gets a pass, he's come around of late and has been doing well), something has to be done with Eaton, they cannot rely on this rotation to win them a series, even when the bats get back to full tilt.

you're leaving out cano though but i see why...and i'd bench damon and put melky in there..so much better on defense

and we have joba in the 7th...so our starters only need to go 6

Yeah im a fan of Cano, but just couldn't squeeze him in as a starter. But they will need days off, so Cano will get plenty of time. I'm fine with switching Melky for Damon, so Damon can come off the bench too. Lets do this.
