Regionals done... Super Regionals start friday. Match-ups....

(Best of 3 games, 8 winners go to College World Series)

#1 Miami vs. Arizona
#2 N. Carolina vs. C. Carolina
#3 Arizona St vs. Fresno St
#4 Florida St vs. Wichita St
#5 Cal St Fullerton vs. Stanford
#6 Rice vs. Texas A&M
#7 LSU vs. UC Irvine
#8 Georgia vs. NC State

I can't remember the last time all national top 8 teams got through their region.

World Series gets underway today! Because of work and daughters softball, i'm going to miss most of both games today. But 6 of the national top 8 seeds advanced....

Today.
Game 1 - Stanford vs. #4 Florida St. @ 2pm Est.
Game 2 - #8 Georgia vs. #1 Miami @ 7pm Est.

Saturday
Game 3 - Fresno St. vs. #6 Rice @ 2pm Est.
Game 4 - #7 LSU vs. #2 N. Carolina @ 7pm Est.

Yup Rosenblatts final season will be when the old CWS contract runs out in 2010. Then the new contract starts for the new stadium which is pretty nice but it wont be the same and the atmosphere will be a little different for the first couple years IMO. The new stadium holds a contract for the CWS through 2035 though so that really makes me happy that it will stay where it was meant to be in Omaha.
