Well thats pretty much exactly what I said in my post actually. I have...
1. Wake
2. UNC
3. Gtech
4. Duke
5. Maryland
as the teams that are in and then i have Miami as my bubble team (as does ESPN, they are one of the "last 4 out" teams)
I think in the end they will get 6. Its just hard because the ACC is very strong top to bottom. Sure Duke, Maryland and Gtech may not be top 15 material, but every team in the conference is strong. Not ONE team in the conference is under .500. 11 teams all playing winning basketball. (only conference in the NCAA) So these teams are beating on each other making teams records worse than they should be.
Like Clemson, who just beat Maryland. Sure it looks bad but in really isn't. Clemson beat Ohio St, and lost a very tough game to Boston College. Clemson pretty much out played BC except for at the free throw line. BC had 27 free throws to Clemson's 4 (thats right FOUR), and it was a 9 point game.
Virginia... they beat Arizona by 18 points! And have 3 losses to team not ranked in the top 25. All of there other losses were vs. top teams in the nation. But yet are looked at as weak because they are not an elite team. In MANY other conferences they would be much better.
Miami... the same thing 4 of their 7 losses came vs. top 25 teams. Again, not an elite team that would flurish in a weaker conference.
Basically you are asking every ACC team to win all of there games to be any good. Which of course is not possible because they all play each other. All i can say is wait til the NCAA tourney and see what these teams do when they are not beating each other up. You will never give them enough credit, and i have no idea why i typed all this because it will never change your opinion. I'll let the tourney do that.
