yeah Btown.....
I know you had the same teams, but you said 6, and Im not so sure they get 6 unless the smaller conferences auto bids go to the #1 teams, thats happened more and more each year. It used to be the "other" conferences almost always sent 1 team, not anymore.
The SEC has only 1 team under .500,(BTW the SEC has 1 more team than the ACC).
The difference in my opinion, is that the ACC beats itself up more when teams lose games they are supposed to win 2+ times a year. Yeah, CUSA will end up w/ 4 teams, I agree with you there.
IMO, beating Ohio St. isnt alot to brag about, and BC is a pretender, especially as a 1 seed, Arizona is a classic example of where you seperate the men from the boys, lose to Virginia, beat Washington, lose to Wash St?????
I beleive GTech is top 10 material w/ Elder, I think thats pretty obvious from the way they were thrashing KU until he left and then the way they couldnt score when he was gone in the second half.
I may not give them as much credit as you would like, But I say that the ACC is the best conference right now, but its hard to go beyond that because every conference has a different style, so to say an ACC team would dominate the SEC or any other combination is silly. ACC teams play a certain style for years at a time, The SEC used to be a run and gun conference back in 96 with those classic Cats and Razorback teams, now its grind it out defense rebounding basketball.
But yeah, come tourney time the ACC teams that will succeed are the ones we talked about all along UNC, Wake, GTech, and Duke minus 1 round barring the crazy madness that is March.
