Technically, no Big XII team has ever won a national title in men's basketball.

Kansas defeated Oklahoma, 83-79, for the 1988 NCAA championship, but that was back when the conference was still the Big 8. The Big XII as we know it was formed six years later, on February 25, 1994.

Kansas is one of only two current Big XII schools to have ever won a national championship in men's basketball. The Jayhawks won in 1988, as well as in 1952. Oklahoma State is the only other school to have won a national title, winning back-to-back championships in the 1945 and 1946 title games.
