This isn't a bad article, but its hard to see what you are trying to say. You start talking about competition, then make a bunch of generalizations about athletes being the same, and then you start talking about Kill Bill. You gotta have some sort of focus.
A few things I had a problem with
Shaq didn't screw up the lakers, Kobe ran him.
Many athletes make great contributions to society and to their communities, they just don't always get noticed.
Kobe had never been a good teammate, he didnt ruin it in just one night.
There are still some athletes who are good talkers and give honest answers. A great case is an athlete I talked to last week, Washington's Nate Robinson. GREAT INTERVIEW.
Also, "America has decided not to condone athletes who do not honor their social responsibility. Amen" is just blatantly false. People love Michael Jordan, yet make no qualms about his infidelity and gambling problem. Good idea, just not true at all
