I have some short term advice

Man not sure you should be airing out the emails lol, but from reading it...the "Core" things they want to keep don't sound promising...at least in the short term you shouldn't have to worry. Maybe just make sure you are upping your productivity.

I'm in Charlotte where BOA is headquartered so I read about the mergers they do all the time. Generally they dont come in and layoff employees. It's really bad for the companies image. If there are job cuts they generally assist the employees with finding job within BOA. If BOA bought Countywide and laid of 90,000 its a PR nightmare. There will be cutbacks, but what nobody has posted was it was a staight stock transaction. Meaning BOA got the stock when it was low without the risk associated with using capital, it makes their bottom line MUCH more attractive. Warren Buffet just bought a bunch of Countrywide a few months ago. People with money would be smart to buy into established mortgage companies now, the government wont let them disappear.

I wouldnt worry a great deal Jay, your biggest impact will be BOA won't even let employees on Yahoo and they STRICTLY monitor internet useage.

Are you saying they monitor it NOW? Or saying that would be a problem if they did?

I think you have a few months, but the way monitoring works is the block access and log that you tried to go there. That's in the corporate offices though, it might be different in the branches. They may also keep Countrywide policies in place to ensure a smoother transition
