They need to stimulate the economy...its in bad shape and getting worse. The rebate would pay for itself though. 300 million get the 800$ at least 200 million people would use it all and thus getting the tax money right back to the government and surge the economy so they can say it worked...even though it won't fix the problem.

agreed - short term fix to the symptoms, but it won't solve anything in the long run.

seems like its just meant to put a band aid on the problem...maybe they shouldn't of let the price of buying a home get out of control to begin with...with all the defaulting loans and people renting..its driving up rent and making the poor people who couldn't afford to buy a house to begin with struggle even more..leaving less money to be spent on luxury items

Agreed...i'll take the money...the government as a whole is accountable for what has happened starting with Dingle Berry bush...I hate the bitchs out there that defend him and say that anyone spewing what we are talking about is just bringing about doom and gloom...if we're not at the doom and gloom stage...its at the front door and it doesn't care if its locked.
