oh rudy's platform and what i agree/disagree with

abortion: pro-choice (disagree)

marriage: believes marriage should be man and woman but supports no ban on gay marriage (agree on no ban..no i'm not gay but why deny the people who love the same sex)

education: opposes prayer in school (agree..religion as far as prayer goes should stay out of public education...thats what churches, temples, mosques, etc are for)

oil: wants to open up the reserves to drive down the price of oil(agree but don't feel it'll totally work)

Gun Control: All gun owners should be required to pass a written test. (agree..they should also have a certain amount of hours in a class or use..personal opinion)

Homeland Security: No compromise with terrorists. Strongly supported reauthorization of the Patriot Act (agree..100%..patriot act if you don't know paritially deals with the sharing of information between different groups like the fbi, cia, police, fire, etc. in order to minimize any terrorist threat)

Immigration: In support of the Senate's guest worker plan and the path to citizenship because he does not believe preventing illegal immigration is possible. (agree that it can't be prevented but disagree overall...lock down the borders, fine companies that hire them and kick out everyone caught)

War: Withdrawing from Iraq will fuel terrorism and encourage future attacks. (agree)

just go read what some of the candidates want to do and how they wanna do it...it just doesn't make sense..in my mind at least...and i gave my thinking and will base my decision on that and rudy agrees..

Unfortunatley we shouldn't have went in there at all. That said now that we are we have to stay the course for the reasons ssigs stated and many others. I am just sick of funding this "war" but will and always have supported the troops. NOW that said unfortunatley all that money they are spending on the war is not supporting our troops in the proper ways and fully like it should be. How the spending is done and who gets the money is my biggest problem over there. The most lucrative company in the entire world...The US Government.

valid points beers and i agree...that has to be straightened out...but i'm just not for setting a timetable for leaving(hilary's idea) or restationing troops to countries nearby iraq(part of obama's thoughts) or setting a cap on how many troops we have there with congressional approval to add more(another hilary gem)....we already decreased troops and the second we did the fighting got stronger...what good does restationing them do? i get congress approving war but can we let the military do its job since they are way more qualified and in the know on what's going on

Well said Beers. Too much waste and too many people getting rich on this war with most of the money getting funneled off before it gets to it's intended purpose.
