If anything last night's game showed me that Pierce did indeed fake his "injury" in game one and that Phil Jackson was right. I'd expect as much from a former KU player.

Anyhoo, the Celtics sure are playing well. I didn't think they would pose so many matchup problems for the Lakers. Ugh. When is this fucking Boston sports success going to end? I am so tired of this shit and those annoying Massholes!

Faked his injury, it just makes me laugh when people say that not knowing a damn thing about how his knee felt when he went down. He could have twisted it and was too afraid to do anymore until he got back into the locker room and realized it wasn't so bad...I'd love to hear one good or valid reason why he would fake the injury?????????

My hatred of the Lakers feels great thus far watching this series.

He didn't so much fake his injury as it turned out to be the elusive situational sprain that only effects lil Paul and makes him wince or limp after a miss. After a big shot the injury goes away and he can jump around like a madman.

Last nights game was everything I hate about basketball. The celtics were dominating and up by 20+ only to have the lakers make a game of it in the last 4 minutes. No other sport has such a meaningless lead up to the final minutes.

That said, unless the home court helps the lakers much as it did cleveland this series may be over in 5 but against the early predictions.

Because he's an asshole?

Because he wanted to pump up his team and the crowd?

As someone who had had numerous knee injuries, let me tell you that with the way he was rolling around on the court like he had been shot, there is no way he would have been able to come back after three minutes and played the way he played with only that little spandex knee sleeve for support unless he was faking it. Then to come out and play the way he did in game two sealed the deal. Knee injuries especially are debilitating and some never fully heal. No amount of medical magic can bring back someone from a "sprained knee" like that. It is foolishness to think otherwise.

And how about the calls the Celtics were getting last night? Hopefully the Lakers can get some of that home cooking in LA otherwise this series is all but over.

Yeah, he faked to get people pumped up, good idea for one of the best players on the team to leave the floor...I've had knee injuries and lots of other injuries...to try to justify faking an injury for no real reason at all based on personal experience is pointless, NO ONE except him knows how his knee felt when he went down and how worried he was to do anything based on initial pain.

I know from experience I've had an injury feel awful initially and clear up pretty well not long after.

I don't care how they win, I now just want the C's to win so I can read your comical rants about them.

If they win, they win and no amount of bitching by me would ever effect the result so I won't have any "comical rants" if they do. No use crying over spilled milk, you know? That being said, Pierce's performace was worthy of pro wrestling.

The Celtics front office went out in the off season and picked up a bunch of name guys to try and buy a title. I guess after seeing the Red Sox do it and the Pats almost do it they felt they had to keep pace. And you know, the Celtics are halfway there. Good for them.

Due to some kind of stroke of luck, organizational competitiveness, God’s wrath, or whatever, Boston sports teams are enjoying a tremendous amount of success all relatively close to each other and thus enabling the most obnoxious fanbase in the history of American sports a chance to show off. Ugh.

So they are buying a championship as you put it? I'd love for my teams to go out and put together a championship team any way possible without destroying the organization or team. Any fan of any team wants that...the Lakers basically attempted the same thing with just less guys involved but they did it mid season.

Of course they are trying to buy a title! What else do you call it when a team spends a shit load of money in the offseason on well known stars from other teams that can make an immediate impact? How can you be so dense?

I'm not saying that the Celtics did anything wrong. It's not like they are the first team to try and buy a title. That's pretty much how it's done anyway. Hell, you gotta appreciate the effort. Still, if people bitch about the Celtics raising ticket prices next season they need to stop and think.
