BM, you have to understand that sig was just going by what he was reading on Sherdog.com and trying to help out a little.

You also have to understand we are just throwing 'mostly' guesses out.

You also have to understand, your MMA knowledge is 1000000 x's better than ours. Your like an encyclopedia on this shit.

Edit - oh and Sig.. Diaz is not my boy anymore after he was an asshole. I thought he was better than he really is though, i will admit that.

I'm not trying to show anyone up, I just don't want everyone to be informed on the facts. Yeah, Nick Diaz is a cocky asshole, but did you see his knock out of Robbie Lawler!? That has to be on my top 5 all time favorite UFC knockouts.

i didn't just put up their ufc record...i just put up the record for all mma fights since 2005...all the guys have talent...or else they wouldn't be on the show...but some are not top tier guys like jay said.....beating jans pulver is great...but if they then lose to nate quarry...that says something...nate quarry is not a top fighter....i don't try to say i know alot but i've followed it enough to know who they've fought and if its a good win or not....

and since swick has been in the ufc, he has dominated everyone....throw him in the mix for a top contender fight...he wins that, give him a shot at franklin....he's got heavy hands and is good on the ground...he's a legit contender and my myspace friend

Cool, no problem... the more facts i have the better so lay them on me. I just don't want everything we say to be taken as "the way it is", just our uninformed opinions (mine at least). I can only go by what i see, and the is the UFC, but i will watch K-1 again if Jeremy Williams ever gets to fight.

I don't remember Nick's KO win over Lawler, but for some reason i remember them fighting. That was a few years ago wasn't it? There was a rumor that Nick was going to be on this show, but then his ego got in the way and he said no.

Swick beat Franklin... have you seen Franklin fight? The guy is deadly on his feet, and even deadlier on the ground. David Loiseau is the only one in in 22 wins that went the distance with Franklin. He's 22-1! Don't get me wrong, Swick is very impressive, but I just can't see him beating Franklin

i've seen franklin fight many times....by far the best right now in that division....but everyone is beatable...just give swick the shot...or the #1 contender to see if he's real or not

Yeah Gary Goodridge used to be a bad ass.
The Nick Diaz v. Robbie lawler one came after the video was made. UFC 47, he caught Lawler coming in and hit him right on the chin. His arms dropped, and he fell straight from standing to face plant, he even bounced if I remember correctly. its a must see!

I'm with you thinking that Franklin will stop Swick. Plus, I don't think Swicks resume says he deserves a title shot any time soon. Maybe after two or three good wins he can get a shot. But a Riggs victory (while not bad) is not enough at this point, IMO.

BM, any clue who Franklins loss is to?

Agree 100% Riggs is good, but he isn't even really a contender, Swick hasn't really beaten any other big names.

Franklin lost to Ryoto Machida in japan in 2003 by TKO/ punches

he beat gideon ray...your about to see him tonite....its not just his ufc record...he's fought all over the place and had success....sherdog here i come....

9-1 overall....loss to leben in second round....4-0 in ufc....wins over vineault & riggs...only 3 of 9 fights have made it out of the first round...5 out of the 9 wins have been ko's....how can you not say he's a rising star and should get a top fight against a high ranked opponent??
