Hmmmm... I'm curious what this will be. 4pm today we will find out...
The UFC will hold a media conference call tomorrow to announce a new television deal. And whether it’s mere coincidence or a calculated maneuver, the UFC will begin the call 30 minutes before Randy Couture’s press conference kicks off in Las Vegas. Wow... look at you, insider boy! With Showtime? Really? I didn't think they would because they have their hands in the EliteXC i think. Very interesting. But eff, I didn't want to have to pay for showtime when i switched to cable.

maybe it was hbo..it's one of those...those talks have been taking place for a long time...no better time to announce it then the same day cotoure announces he's fighting in a different company against fedor right??
no inside info on the cotoure...just a guess |

Hmm... this starts soon, but i don't know how Randy is going to fight Fedor. Dana already said he's not letting him out of the last 2 fights of his contract.
Its probably HBO because they have been talking with the UFC for a while about setting something up. That would be cool because i have to keep HBO. |

unless cotoure starts up his own company...then i'm sure he could buy his way out of that contract and somehow set up a fight with fedor
hbo/showtime..i get neither |

Couture said a major reason he tendered his resignation was because of the offer the UFC made to then-free agent Fedor Emelianenko. Couture said he was upset to learn that the UFC was offering Emelianenko a signing bonus that was worth more than any amount he — an 11-year UFC veteran and champion — had ever received for a fight.
He said he felt disrespected since he had spent so much time and effort supporting and promoting the organization. “That was the final slap in my face,” Couture said. Randy Couture: Lots of Little Things Resulted in Resignation -- UFC news at MMAjunkie.com Wow... if thats infact true, I don't blame Randy for walking away. That really would be a slap in the face. All he's done for the organization and you pay some new guy more? |
