Wow, I was gonna say are they just paying tribute to him cause of his quick and tragic death, but apparently he really was a well liked boxing figure.

And yeah, Sig you were right... after he hit the back of the car, he was then hit by a Mercades. Diego's manager was on the phone with ESPN as he was pulling up to the scene actually. He says...

"It don't look like he made it through this"

That quote that read something to the affect of he's here lying under a sheet with his helmet on is a chilling thought.

Hope that it doesn't come out that he was boozin or on drugs at all and that it was just a stupid move to be going so fast.

Yeah tell me about it. Apparently he was there for a couple of hours while they were investigating.

The police on the scene said there was no evidence of drugs or alcohol. But obviously we won't know until the tox screen comes back. I really hope he was clean as well. Not that it means much, he's still gone i guess.

You just hope it can be summed up to a stupid tragic event rather than a drug/alcohol mess. Thats my hope for him and I'm not even a big boxing guy.

tragic way to go...and not one you would wish on anyone..especially a guy with a family and a baby on the way....i see bikes speeding along all the time and i don't wanna be hypocritical but this could've been avoided and its really his fault it happened(from what i've read)

Gotta agree ssigs...I see them all the time and it makes me wild thinking about how dumb they are being yet bikers bitch that we don't give them enough respect on the road.

Just a couple weeks ago I was on 33 north passing a line of cars with two big fast bikes on my ass before I could even move over to let htem speed by they were cutting into the other lane I nearly hit the one. The second one slowed down and let me get into the slow lane and realized he was being dumb and gave me a wave, then proceeded to speed up and do a STANDING WHEELY, I kept thinking how dumb are you.
