I assume they put it back, lost of time they insert some sort of reinforcement under since they weakened the overall integrity of the skull.

No I haven't had the pleasure. I have seen live brains up close and personal when a couple of times. There were also two car accidents I got to clean up and got to scrape dead brains and various other parts of an idiots head from what was left of the steering wheel and dashboard. They were memorable moments.
