That is fucking horrible. It sounds like a nickname someone would give their penis.

Off topic, like the rest of this thread, I once saw an interview with Kevin Bacon, and they asked him if Bacon was his real name, or if he changed his name to Bacon. He looked right at the guy and said "Why the FUCK would I change my name TO Bacon?"

UPDATED!

1. Bernard Hopkins
2. Floyd Mayweather Jr.
3. Kostya Tszyu
4. Felix Trinidad
5. Manny Pacquiao
6. Marco Antonio Barrera (+1)
7. Antonio Tarver (-1)
8. Eric Morales
9. Winky Wright
10. Diego Corrales

12/18/04 - Antonio Tarver vs. Glen Johnson (Johnson SD 12)
01/22/05 - Floyd Mayweather Jr. vs. Henry Bruseles
02/26/05 - Manny Pacquiao vs. Juan Manuel Marquez
02/19/05 - Bernard Hopkins vs. Howard Eastman
03/12/05 - Felix Trinidad vs. Felix Strum

** I had to move Tarver down one spot because of his loss to Johnson. I could not move him down more or put Johnson on the list because I do not feel that Tarver lost the fight. These two will have their re-match shortly so i will wait until then to see what the two of them look like.

Added fights that could impact the "pound for pound" rankings...

03/05/05 - Diego Corrales vs. Jose Luis Castillo
03/12/05 - Felix Trinidad vs. Winky Wright

That second one is HUGE! My #4 vs. #9. I don't know what happened with the fight Felix was supposed to have on March 12th, but i guess it is not happening. Which is very good because this will be a much better fight.

**Other fighters to watch for -

Fernado Vargas - making his comeback 03/26/05, his opponent is TBD.
Jeff Lacy - Undefeated and looking ver good. fighting 03/05/05, opponent is TBD.
Juan Diaz - undefeated kid, young but already a belt holder. Fighting 01/21/05 on Friday Night Fights on ESPN.

Floyd Mayweather Jr. defeated Henry Bruseles (okay, destroyed him) saturday night. Mayweather won because the ring side doctor stopped the fight in the 8th round. It was brutal, Floyd crushed the guy for 7 rounds and then put him to the mat twice in the 8th round.

On a funnier note, during the fight, Jim Lampley (HBO comentator) was talking to Roy Jones Jr (aslo HBO comentator) and asked him who he thought would win the Steelers/Patriots game... well apparently Floyd Mayweather likes to listen to the guys talk when he is IN THE RING FIGHTING, and looked over at the two guys and said "Patriots". LMAO, the guy was in the middle of a fight, and was killing this guy so much that he had time to stop, look over at the announcers and give his playoff prediction.

So, about a minute later, Floyd again got to the side of the ring the announcers where on and Jim Lampley yells up at the ring "Falcons or Eagles Floyd". And of course, Floyd takes a little break and yells back to them "I like Michael Vick"... it was classic.

Yeah I read about the fight and the destruction of Bruseles but that was expected the guy is pretty much an unknown realistically.

I didn't see anything about the playoff predictions though lol. Is it on the tape? I wanna see that if it is.

Yeah i have it on tape. It was funny as hell, and totally unexpected. The comentators were just sitting there chatting about the football and floyd just stopped and jumped into their conversation. I guess he says he likes to try to listen to the guys while he is fighting. I'll put it in next time you are over, i could watch that over and over.

Oh, and yeah, that poor fuck he was beating on had no business being in the ring with him.

I have no clue how much each fighter was getting. The point of the fight was for Mayweather to fight a guy that was a big puncher but didn't have a chance to beat him. Floyd was fighting at 130 in 2001, then moved up to 135 until 2004, and now moved up to 140. He only ever had that one fight at 140 and has never really felt the power being up that high. He needed to get another fight at 140 under his belt and let himself feel the power up there. He got hit ON PURPOSE by this Brusales guy. He is looking at a fight vs. Arturo Gatti in June or July and he has never fought a guy with anywhere near the power of Gatti.

It may not seem like a lot, but to go up 2 weight classes in 4 years is a big deal. He is trying to get himself ready for the super fights of the 140 lbs division. That division is pretty much the toughest and best in all of boxing. I don't know if the boxing world has ever seen a top 10 like they have in the current light welter division.
