***UPDATE - 07/01/2005***

Well Antonio Tarver beat Glen Johnson in the re-match and Floyd Mayweather DESTROYED Arturo Gatti over the last two weekends. That will only change the rankings a little, as Johnson falls off and Diego Corrales moves in.

2. Floyd Mayweather Jr - beat Arturo Gatti 6/25
3. Marco A. Barrera - fights Robbie Peden 9/17
4. Winky Wright - beat Felix Trinidad 5/14

If Johnson falls off the list why doesn't Tarver make the list?

Because i didn't have Tarver as my #11 guy. If I did a top 15 Corrales would haev been #11 for me so he would move up to #10 and Tarver now would move up to #11.

Plus i don't think Tarver is ahead of Corrales P4P for only beating Johnson. Just like last time when Ricky Hatton beat my #3 overall guy (Kostya Tszyu). I didn't move him in because i don't feel he is in the top 10 yet.

Makes sense...so is Jones gonna come back and fight Johnson since he won like he says or is he stayin on the mat so to speak

I think you meant Tarver. Who knows what he is going to do. He said before that he will fight the winner of the Tarver/Johnson re-match. There is also talk of him dropping weight and Hopkins gaining it so they can fight, but there is just no way that can happen. Hopkins weighed 158 pounds for his last fight and jones weighed 175. Plus Jones has fought at heavy weight before and weighed 193.

I think RJJ really wants to fight again, but I don't know if he will have the balls to get back into the ring with Tarver. Hell Johnson absolutely beat the living shit our of Jones in his last fight. IMO he should stay behind the mic and work with HBO.

You're right I did...I need a beer...doh....at least you knew what I was saying...it would be fun to see a rematch but I think in the end you are right and he needs to stay commentating and salvage a couple of brain cells

I totally agree, it would be fun to see it. The selfish side of me begs for Jones to fight Tarver or anyone else good again. I pray we could see the greatness we saw before from Jones, and that is only possible if he fights again. However, i think it is gone. His greatest asset was his speed, which was no where to be found in the Johnson fight.

POUND FOR POUND KING GOES DOWN!!! Bernard Hopkins lost a very close split decision to Jermain "Bad Intentions" Taylor on Saturday night in Vegas. Since I am too poor to buy the PPV, I will watch the replay this saturday. There has been A TON of controversay over this decision, a there will be a re-match between the two. With the loss, it certainly shakes up the P-4-P alittle.

You beat my #1 overall guy, I just can't leave you out. The 2000 US Olympian Taylor is 24-0 with 17 KO's. I have to put him in here now, and see what happens with the re-match... tentativly scheduled for Oct. 1st.

Saw the fight, and though Taylor was 'busy' the first 5 rounds of the match...alot of his busy-ness weren't solid punches in my opinion. Punch Stats also had B-Hop with a 22% vs 21% connect rate and landing more power punches. I think the judges may have been wooed a little bit by the activity of the fighter instead of the effectiveness....

Well from what I have heard the one judge scored the last round in Taylors favor, but it was clearly Hopkins round. They are saying it should have been a draw on the scorecards. But I can't have any opinion yet, i have not seen the fight. But i'm sure i will be back to comment on this next monday.

Looks like B-hop did get screwed out of at least a draw, that judge is done...

Just wanted to update some of the dates and match-ups. None of my top 15 has fought since the last update. Hopkins/Taylor re-match has been pushed back due to the bad cut Taylor suffered.
