you're right mark...i saw non-rudy things on the first page..so i went with it from there...and you have a good point about selling of the videos and what not..i was try throwing it in my article to make it sound better haha

sorry rusty..i musta missed that post..but i can't take away what google says...i'll write them a letter though...

Great articles gentlemen, I am just glad I am not judging because I do not think I could be objective. I have seen both and give Caddyshack a thumbs up and give Rudy the finger.

No, I have not forgotten. I am waiting on judge #3, who should be here any minute now. We have a tie with two judges reporting. I am biting my nails on this one.

Also, Without this round being completed, I am planning the next contest. Coming up with topics, making questionaires, etc. We will promote it for 1 1/2 to 2 months, get the judges in order, and make it a fluid, fast, seemless contest. This delay shit is over.

Judges Comments:

KP: The movie quotes from Caddyshack had me laughing out loud! Recalling Rudy made me want to go put on some football gear and tackle a tree. Both of them did very well IMO. Very easy and entertaining to read.

Missy_K: I especially like what Ssigman said about Rudy being a true story doesn't make for a strong argument when you have so many other true-story movies about sports. Plus, it's less a movie about sports than one guy trying to overcome the odds. That said, I think both Ssigman and Mark need to sit down and watch Miracle again, which gets my vote as the greatest sports movie of all time.

Shane: I don't think this one could have been much closer. My main complaint is the movies these guys chose. Rudy and Caddyshack?? WTF? I thought for sure we would have Hoosiers, The Natural, or Miracle in there somewhere. But, I digress. Mark did fantastic as he always does, and Ssig's, well, lets just say I'll be disappointed if you don't sign on as a staff writer for the Rant.

Miracle? Come on hockey homers. I love hockey, I played it, I was an off-ice official for the old IHL, I did color in the ECHL (all before I turned 18) so make no mistake, I love hockey.

Still, Miracle just left me wanting more. Good movie, sure, but I have both Rudy and Caddyshack higher than that.

And for the record, I listed Hoosiers and The Natural listed before Miracle, so I am not a complete hockey homer. Now, Slap Shot II would make me a hopeless hockey homer.
