So, while each of the Yankee's multiple championships are just another ring...just one by the Red Sox will be historical.
Damn straight!!! I'm kind of hoping this is their year. It would be nice to see them win it.

that would make complete sense coming from someone who's not a yankee fan....or someone who doesn't have a winning team...winning 1 world series after a hundred years is historic but not in a good way..it just shows how incompetant that franchise is...being in 6 of the last 8 world series..thats historic

This is a typical display of arrogance from a Yankee fan. Sure, winning 6 out of the last 8 is impressive, but doing so with the highest payroll in baseball diminishes the accomplishment.
Sure, the Red Sox are right up there in spending, but Red Sox fans know humility. That is why fans in Cincy or Pittsburgh are not cursing our existence.
Another point of Yankee arrogance. When all else fails, you tend to site history. "Sure, the Red Sox took 3 out of 4 from us, but they always lose in September!"
Nevermind the fact that A-Rod was 1 for 17 and his fielding was sloppy.
Conversely, Red Sox fans have no problem laying the blame squarely where it belongs...on the players and coaches. Hell, we canned a manager with two 90+ win seasons because he made one grave error.

i'm not living in the past...you took 3 of 4 from us..congrats...what did it get you? second place after 14 games into the season...you win!!! when the end of the season comes...it'll be yanks & boston in the playoffs..then we'll see who wins...that's the only important series in the whole season..you can win the a.l. east division....no yankee fan cares about that...its the postseason...and in the postseason we win..you don't..its just the facts

and firing grady little for leaving your ace in the game in the 8th inning of a game 7....every sox fan at that moment wanted pedro to stay in..then after they lost...everyone was like, oh he shoulda took him out...its bull...little did the right thing and your teams paranoia of never winning got him fired...not that one decision

congrats on winning 3 outta 4 from us....it got you second place in the east after 14 games of the season..you win!!! the only series that matters is the postseason...you can win 140 games...take the east by 25 games....yankee fans don't care as long as we make the postseason and then the real season starts...
and as the second highest payroll in the league...there's not much room to talk about spending...and that buying the world series argument is so old and boring...tell some owners to spend some money..its not our fault, superstars have to leave the small markets cause the owners won't pay them...where are they suppose to go then...to teams that spend..which equals 3 or 4 teams in the league

Well let me rephrase the whole money thing.

George's pockets are just so much deeper than any other team. I know, all people want to spend, and we all try. But our pockets are not as big as other teams.

It doesn't matter where we are, any Yankee vs RedSox game is awesome to watch, and is joyous whenever the RedSox win.

My friend, you lose all credibility when you make statements like that.
Not one self-respecting Red Sox fan wanted Pedro in that game following the 7th inning. We all knew that the Red Sox bullpen was lights-out with a 1.01 ERA in the post season, that he rarely pitched past the seventh inning, that his pitch count was near 120 (his absolute limit), and we all knew that the FOX radar that had his last pitch clocked at 97 was absurdly off (earlier in the playoffs, it posted an 86 for a Tim Wakefield knuckler).

Perhaps the fair-weather "Cowboy Up," "Yankees Suck," curse believing crowd wanted Pedro in to finish what he started. But, true members of Red Sox Nation are perhaps some of the most knowledgeable in the league. And we all knew that Pedro was only going to pitch meatballs in the 8th.
