It just pisses me off when people do not know what they are talking about! Bonds bashers also make me sick becuase most of the are jelious

I like Bonds, but anytime an athlete comes close to breaking a record, there's going to be questions about how he/she did it. It's going to raise suspision. And the fact that Bonds got really huge doesn't help his case any.

The other night it hurt to walk bonds because he scored on the next hit from first.

in the national league, you must play the field in order to bat regularly (as opposed to being a full-time pinch hitter). yes, the fielding rant was not valid concerning the original premise but it is relevant to his overall value as a major league ballplayer.

everytime i read a pro-bonds article, i feel it is my duty to remind those who care that barry-boy is not, and never was the 5 tool player he is reputed to be. his gold gloves were gimme's as were many down through history. in the 50's thru the 80's, once a player won a gold glove, that particular player was actually given the top nod when it came to the next year's awards vote.

barry bonds is definitely in the top 20 of greatest ever. he does not deserve to be deified, he belongs more with the likes of ty cobb and peter james rose, asshole emeritus. still, he's gotta take that stormtrooper armor off of this elbow and stand at the plate like a man.

It doesn't always pay to walk him. It's pretty much hit or miss.

These days walking Bonds seems like a pretty effective option. The Giants don't have any protection for him, so teams are free to walk him whenever they want and not have to worry about the crappy hitters who follow BB.

That's true, they don't really have anyone that can hit besides Bonds.
