The most exciting sport

my thing is this...if i made up a word like slunt...and used it all the time and when people asked what it meant and i said, slutty cunt...and then it was used all over the country for years....but the dictionary doesn't recognize it....is it not a word???

I dont know, its a different world now with words such as bling bling making it into the dictionary officially.

Rugby is a damn exciting sport to watch. But as to excitement per action, I'd say volleyball is up there. Every three touches is a hit/spike.

Baseball during the regular season is pretty boring to watch. I do think it ramps up in excitement during the playoffs...each run, error, pitch takes on so much more meaning. The atmosphere at a playoff game...especially a World Series game...is electric. I don't know if Mike's article was referring to only regular season or generally.

Hockey, soccer and basketball have the constant movement which keeps your eyes glued to the TV 'cause you don't want to miss anything. So, in that regard it would be more exciting than baseball (regular season), IMO. All sports tend to ramp up during the playoffs so I guess (thinking as I'm writing!) it's a wash.

Football is exciting because of the big play potential. Kind of like the home run in baseball or the alley-oop in basketball or the penalty shot in hocky.

NASCAR...ugh. To me, it's as fixed as boxing. Just my opinion...I have no fact to back this up. The only thing exciting about NASCAR is waiting for the big crash. Violence (accidents), just like in boxing, is what makes racing fun.

Again, just my opinion.

definetly right on the mark. you could argue this till your blue and wont matter. ratings mean nada, because if you factor in the whole world, soccer would be number one. some people here would probably put soccer number one. i love baseball its my number one, but i can see where people say its boring. my list is as follows:
