College Sports This forum is about some weird social strata involving brow-beating, bragging, one-upsmanship and self-proclaimed superiority. Not necessarily involving athletics.

Finishing in the top 10 doesn't mean finishing above .500. Too be honest, Miami and the MAC were absolutely great this year and there is no denying that Miami would have run with the big boys in any conference this year. As far as BGSU, Marshall, NIU, etc go they all had solid seasons and some impressive wins but none were near as good as Miami in my mind.

I personally feel the MAC is worthy of a third bowl bid (based on this season anyway). I would say Miami could get maybe 7-8 wins in a larger conference (this year). Next year MU will be lucky to get 7-8 wins in the MAC.

That's what happens when you lose a QB to the NFL at a smaller school. Nevertheless, they had a terrific season. Even their 1 loss was justified when Iowa whooped up on Florida in their bowl game.
