Of course nobody beats WVA in this category.
Doesn't that mean Fulmer is a good recruiter?

If he was a good recruiter he'd be recruiting out of Texas, not Georgia.

satex, you got me. Tech played a great game. Like I said, no running game but their passing game just shredded Cal's secondary. No excuses, Cal sucked and Tech played great.

Cal excuted an offensive plan like they didn't have one. Umm Tech was going pass happy on them so why not keep the ball on the ground and eat clock? not like Tech was stopping the them. They had 2&1 on the tech 7 then a 5 yard penalty moved them to 2&6, TWO straight incomplete passes. Hell that series up to that point they only had passed the ball once and moved up the field in no time running the ball.. I don't get it. They settle for a FG to pull within 14, during the 3rd quarter.

I have two words for Vince Young.....Michael Vick. That guy is electric. Best game I've ever seen him play, throwing included. That was kind of his weakness, passing. But he did a great job, mostly throwing to the TE's. But, when you're playing to CB's like Michigan has, you need to go to the TE. Young was easily the best player in the game.

I'm not surprised that Young went off like he did after seeing how helpless the scUM defense was when they went up against Troy Smith. If Smith is eligible to play or is even the starter next September when the Longhorns come to Columbus, it could be a great matchup.

Best Rose Bowl game since the Buckeyes let Jake Plummer and Arizona St. hang with them for four quarters.

Vince Young gets a bad rep for his throwing ability. He has always been able to hit the short crosses and the deep ball, his release is weird and brings alot of ciriticism with it. If he is able to get that release point up for the middle crossing routes and 10-20 yard outs, then he will be absolutely unstoppable, he absolutely has redefined the word escapability. With a year under these receivers belts, the return of David Thomas at tight end, and hopefully a couple top wide receiver committs, Vince ought to be NASTY next year.......

The Rose Bowl whored itself out for the BCS money. The first victim was my Oregon Ducks who would have played in the Rose Bowl in '02, but got shuttled off to the Holiday Bowl (like Cal) so Miami and Nebraska could play for the title game.

As a result of this sell-out, as far as I'm concerned, the Rose Bowl is just another of the generic, one too many bowl games.

Texas in Pasadena? Good Gawd, that's so wrong.

How is it so wrong? They had the better teams by taking Texas over Cal. After what Cal showed, there is no doubt in my mind that Michigan would have ROLLED over them. By taken Texas and Michigan, they were able to play one of the greatest Rose Bowls ever.

A shit team like Pittsburgh gets a new years day Fiesta bowl, and no one says a word... but Texas and Michigan (#5 vs. #12) play each other and suddenly the sky is falling.

Again, neither of those two games, Rose nor Holiday, proved anything as far as the BCS "getting it right." The BCS got lucky.
