DUKE LOST AT HOME - Page 2

I fell asleep and missed the second half, and when I saw the final score this morning, I thought I might be wrong about Duke, Until I found out it took a flurry of desperation 3ptrs to make it that close after Wake had built a 13pt lead w/ under 7 minutes left.

But listen to this crap from the ESPN recap.....

"the Demon Deacons used tough defense and forced 13 turnovers -- eight were steals -- had five blocks.

please!!! whats 13 turnovers? and strong defense.....they gave up 89pts....Christ! whats next for these ACC biased ESPN reporters

this game also makes me question Wake again, if they played that kind of Defense against UNC a few weeks ago, they would have lost

Well, this leaves UNC atop the ACC at 6-1 in conf and 17-2 overall

well duke beats UNC at home...BIG FUCKIN DEAL. UNC played horrible. Duke just made shots when needed.

Nights like that happen. Better than UNC playing horrible and Duke playing worse.

This is really going to shake up the rankings and the week is only half over.

Yes, it is a joke that they scheduled K-State during rivalry week. But, in case you haven't noticed, it's only rivalry week because Duke & UNC play this week.

wouldnt Missouri be a better Rival for KU? just curious....but it isnt just Duke-UNC........Illinois-Mich used to be a good game..... UConn-Syr is still a good game...... BC-ND (while its more of a football rivalry)is pretty good....OK-OKSt is right up there with UNC-Duke........actually Mich/Mich St is their rivalry this week........Crosstown Shootout w/ UC and Xavier is usually fun......and UK-FL is only downplayed because UK has won the last 8, but most of them were really good games.

so saying it's only rivalry week because of UNC-Duke is pretty ignorant

Yes, Mizzou is our rival. I guess K-State considers it a rivalry, but KU doesn't so much because we always win. K-State hasn't beat KU at home as long as I've been alive. Unfortunately though, Mizzou along with pretty much every other team in the North has gone South. Texas would be a better game (since OU & OSU play each other) but Texas isn't as much of a rival historically.
