Only problem is Favre wants to stay in the NFC North (Vikes,Bears)
The team would prefer to trade Favre to the Buccaneers or Jets, and it feels a deal could realistically be reached with one of those teams. But Favre reportedly has refused to speak with officials from those franchises, making it difficult for a trade to materialize.
No wonder the rumors about the Pack wanting to pay Favre to go away.Favre is making it impossible for a trade to happen.

The Packers are owned by the public, its a horrible business decision. I say move forward with Rodgers and if he wants to play fight for the position. His ego wont allow him to sit on the bench so the joke will be on him.

Why would you want to go to the Bears? Even with Favre they stink. The Vikes on the other hand... they are probably the favorites in the NFC with him. Sucks to be the Packers brass right now.
