it was pretty much a forgone conclusion..not a good sign in our attempt to resign jagr but it frees up some money to try and sign someone else..maybe and orpik or avery

The New York Post reports that New York Rangers winger Jaromir Jagr has received a three-year, $35 million contract offer to play with Omsk of the Russian Super League next season.

A source with connections in the Czech Republic told The Post that Jagr received the formal offer this week from Omsk general manager Anatoly Bardin after months of conversations.

Report: Jagr receives offer to play in Russia

$11.67mil a year. Thats more than the max NHL contract. How do you say no to that?
