Dave, you fought hard, and I would also like to thank you for putting up a great fight. I'd also like to thank everyone that particpated as well as Point Man, & KP for the judging.

Judges Comments

Both: The topic was supposed to cover from the 60s to the current time. Dave didn't even mention anything from prior to the 80s. The salary cap was a bad idea....the Niners are still in cap hell for what they did in the late 90s. Cowboys legacy is scattered throughout their history? I thought that was the point of the topic.

Nick: You dominated this from the first word to the last. Simply put, OUTSTANDING.

Dave: You are a great writer with a lot of skill. What would have been great is if you had used that skill in this round. You were embarrassed and destroyed.

Nick: I thought your rebuttal showed the best style yet. Excellent use of humor!! You showed Ali like flair while striking w/precision.

Dave: I would've acknowledged the period from 61-81 in your article around. I liked how you mentioned the West Coast Offense & the great coaches that have spawned from Bill Walsh. Those are the two parts of Niner history that has endured the longest, hence creating the legacy. Overall, I think you did a good job & a bit surprised at the knockout.

The Cowboys became known as America’s Team

As I read the points and counters again the other day, I am pleased that the Cowboys prevailed.

As a side note and one that maybe even no one cares about, When overseas with the military for the past umpteen years, The one team that has consistently sent their years cheerleaders to entertain our troops ( more than any other team) has been The Dallas Cowboys. Not that that has any real football legitamacy however it does in my opinion reenforce the statement that Dallas is indeed Americas Team. And To Stacy sitting with you made my ride to Kuwait alot more interesting. Thaks. Murph.
