yeah, bjay won in the most controversial decision in the history of sports...

but who was the real genius? He said the marlins would win the ws, and I argued for the white sox...
I guess history pegs me as the real winner here

Did I sleep through two weeks?? Did the White Sox win the world series and I missed it?

You are just as wrong as I if the White Sox don't win.

I made a better case for my team than you did. Way to go out on a limb and pick the team with the best record in baseball. I wanted to pick a team that wasn't a favorite. Some people just can't accept defeat. I'm sorry I beat you at your own job, no reason to cry about it.

Who said Point/Counterpoint is dead!!!

Well my friends it is very much alive, and Btown was the defibrilator! Point/Counterpoint will be back very soon and it will be even better than ever.

I appreciate all of the people who participated in the past & it will be even better now!

Wait until December. Maybe then I will snatch that title from you and then I will be the champion. Or perhaps I will be the chump. The Chumpion, that is.

Beat me at my job? If you are a better writer than I, and a better talk show host, then let's see it. I would more than welcome a weekly btown column to the rant, and you can flex your talk show might on sportsrant radio (or if you want to relocate to Athens, you can have my daily talk show at the espn radio affiliate)

a few quotes from you last june-

The only thing is, records in the first week of June mean nothing. Neither do all those wins against the Royals, Indians and Tigers. I think you will be suprised come the end of the year Mark. Let's face it- no one thought the white sox were headed to the world series, even you said they were totally overrated and had an inflated win count because of their weak schedule. They were NEVER a ws favorite, and you wouldnt find anyone in june who would've argued that.

I have to get some credit for calling this back in june- you did think the marlins were the better team, so its not like you took some garbage team.

That being said, I know I was beat. I simply took you too lightly and mailed it in, and I paid for it. I was looking ahead to the final, and was in the planning stages for my parade. I'm more than up for a rematch though, and the revenge factor is going to be all the motivation I need to get back to the top. You are no longer flying under the radar, no more element of surprise.

Ugh, not touchy at all. Just tired of you crying about the stupid loss ever since it happened. Never said i was better at your job than you... just beat you in a writing competition. I gave you credit already for getting it right. But you keep going with it. In the "Btownjay" thread, in this thread, on the rant radio... i'm going to be 80 years old hearing about it.
