You're right Bamanation,it was insane and as my and I sat and watch something that neither of us has witnessed in our lifetime,I commented to my wife that Kobe has went crazy. At the conclusion of that game in which I had just witnessed the second most points scored in a single game in the history of the NBA and I thought to myself that Wilt must have had one hellva game to have scored 100 pts. in a single game and Elgin Baylor scored 71 pts. on two occassions.

Aside from Kobe's 81 pts.,the most impressive aspect of that game is how Kobe's offensive show was that it inspired the other players to pick up their defensive game and they came back from 18 pts. down in the third quarter and end up winning by double digit pts.,so it was an impressive performance by the whole team in the third and fourth quarters. To bad they can't bottle that game and break it out for the remainder of the season.

At this point in the season based on what I've seen from various teams and players, there are only two players that warrant any consideration for NBA MVP. Those two players are Steve Nash and Kobe Bryant. Nash because he has picked up right where he left off last year and without Amare,he still has his team leading the Pacific Division. Kobe because after missing the playoffs all together last year,he has the Lakers in the #7 playoff position at this point and he has the least talented group of supporting players than any other star player in the league.
