Could be. Thats well above my NBA level of knowledge. There could certainly be loopholes that i have no idea about. I just remember that being an issue with Shaq. That would make sense though.

I think that is the "loophole" to get a player moved for less than his value, which is what will have to happen with Iverson I think. I could be completely wrong but I think that was the issue with Mutumbo...for a while he was one of the highest paid players because of his contract and like three or four teams were paying it.

Apparently it won't be too hard to move him, but he is certainly gone. Sixers Chairman Snider when asked if he thought AI had played his last game as a sixer stated "Probably".

Apparently a deal is in the works with Minnesota but who knows who will be inovlved. KG said he would love to have him on the team and that the deal needs to get done. There is talk of 3 or 4 players in return or draft picks being involved. The contract match is something in the range of 15-20 mil per year for two more years I think.
