Not a good trade at all. What they got was an aging, fragile vet whose best years are behind him. They already had that in Pierce.
Ainge has more moves planned or at least intended.

For the last couple of years they've been banking on the future seasons with the "young" people, and now they just turn around to bring in a vet for something right now...

JGAC its called trying to appease the fans and save your job.
They can make the playoffs now and call it a season. So what if they are done after the first round, its an improvement and everyone gets to stay.
