Yeah, that was awesome. After the Warriors/Nuggest game ended, TNT switched to bonus coverage for the Mavs/Jazz game so I got to see it live. I didn't think Dirk had it in him but he has been clutch this season.

I don't see Dallas making it to the Finals though.

Clearly a most difficult path, indeed. In regard to Dirk, he has been out of his mind since the Kidd trade. Even when the team around him was sucking wind, he was playing great. Now, even hurt, he has put the team on his back and is playing better this year (since the trade) than he was last year when he won the MVP.
If the rest of the team can wake up and be the supporting cast as opposed to dead weight, then, like I said... sleeper!

Warriors lose, Nuggets are in based on the fact that they have the 3-1 lead head-head vs the Warriors, now the Nuggets either get the Lakers or Hornets. Hmm hopefully we pull a ridiculous upset.

Yeah Congrats to the Nuggets man, The Warriors just ran out of gas and could not win the games that counted. I would like to see the Nuggets turn the table and win like the Warriors did last year. They are playing good basketball right now and should do okay

I'll let you in on a little secret right now; the Nuggets aren't going to do shit in the playoffs. They can't defend anyone and they are way too streaky. It doesn't matter who they play because they will get rolled.

Completely agree with you Andy the Nuggets play 0 defense and if Melo or AI isn't hot from outside the game is over, all it takes is getting down 2-0 and your looking at a hill that I don't think the Nuggets can climb because they don't know what defense is.

Well, now that everything is set, it is time to educate yourself on the matchups.

First, I suggest you go HERE to read about the specific teams from people that regularly blog about them.

Then you should go HERE to view the matchups from a statistical standpoint. It is worth it.

Here are my first round picks:
LA over Denver
New Orleans over Dallas
Phoenix over San Antonio
Utah over Houston

While I think that Phoenix/San Antonio will be fun, I think that New Orleans/Dallas will probably be the best of the opening round match-ups.

Rockets over Utah..how does a 5 seed get home court over a 4 seed?

Houston has a better record. Utah has a better seed because they won their division but home court is determined by record.
