Actually, although Cuban 'lost' the arbitration, he only had to pay nelly the remainder of nelly's contract. Cuban claims that he is fine with that since nelly admitted in testamony to helping the warriors with their draft while prepping the Mavs for the Playoffs! It appears that nelly knew that he would be heading west and was double dipping. Additionally, the only reason Cuban 'lost' and had to pay nelly anything is b/c Cuban defaulted on a 25K payment that was due to nelly. If Cuban had paid that and then filed the suit, he probably would have won.

Whatever. Nelly did a lot for the Mavs while he was here and I'm sure that Cuban can rub on a guy, but if one of the two had to go then the right one did!

He was only a consultant and Cuban is pissed about this!! I read that all over ESPN when the Warriors and Mavs played each other

I am sure Nelson checked the rules prior to talking to the Warriors, I don't think he would break a rule like this and Mullen would not take a chance at loosing a draft pick over a discussion that would have not been aloud
