it should be noted sig's that the Big East as a whole was 5-0 last bowl season. and I dont care what anyone says, if Rutgers won out last season they were playing OSU for the national title.
Other things that would have happened: Pigs would have flown, hell would have called and asked for jackets, and Ray Rice would be hanging out with his heisman trophy. Oh and the world would have ended. I have Louis, WV, Rutgers in that order for the BE. It really isn't fair how 3rd BE gets such a shitty bowl game, whereas 3rd Big10 gets Capital One Bowl. I would love to see the Bowls do away with the conference deals, or at least the BCS. I just don't like the Rose Bowl always being PAC-10 Big 10 i know recent years it hasn't been (05 USC-Texas, 04 Michigan-Texas) Or the Big 12 winner in the Orange, SEC in sugar. I just like variety which is why i really really wish they'd get that 6 team playoff goin |

First let me say that i don't mean to knock the Big East. I have nothing against the conference, and agree they should be a BCS conference.
That said, no team in the Big East plays near as tough a schedule as any team in the Big 10. A Big 10 vs. Big East thing, like they do in college basketball with the ACC vs. Big 10, would be a one sided whooping by the Big 10. So I do understand why they get the better bowl games. Not to mention they are a bigger draw in ratings right now. Once the Big East can do something to change that, then the bowls may change who plays where. |

And these bowl sites want teams that are going to draw more people to their cities such as Big Ten and SEC schools do. Again, the Big East has a ways to go.

lol, Illinois was almost a division 2 team last season going a great 2-10. They hardly count.
Sure, the top 3 Big 10 teams are close with W. Virginia and Louisville... but are all better than Rutgers. And then what? The rest of the Big East is really weak after that, and will lose to most of the remaining Big 10 teams. S. Florida's non conference schedule was laughable. And Cincy had one good win vs. Rutgers. Like I said before, i don't want to bash the conference because I think they are going to get better... but they really are well below the Big 10. |

i just don't agree with that....you got michigan, ohio state and wisconsin up top but after that you have the likes of northwestern, purdue, illinois and indiana...they aren't any better than south florida, pittsburgh or cincinatti

Penn State, Purdue, Iowa, Minnesota and most years Michigan State are better than S. Florida (what have they ever done?) and Cincy. Sure Pitt has had a few good years.
But of course you pick N.wester, Indiana and Illinois, they are the worst 3 in the conference. |

Speaking of Rutgers, did you see Leonards run and jump against the Raiders this weekend? He totally went airborn over the one defender.

Not a bad showing, too bad Rice "only" ran for 185 and couldn't get those extra 16 yards....
