Nice and classy Rutgers fans i see. You win a few games and suddenly you get cocky?

"This is how you treat people who may die for this country?" said Bill Squires, an Annapolis graduate (Class of'75) who was on the sidelines for the Friday night game in Piscataway and was shocked by the obscene chants directed at the Navy players and fans throughout the game. "It was the most classless thing I've seen."

Navy was booed and peppered with "You suck!" chants when they stepped on the field for both halves. Toward the end of the second half, Rutgers students in the new bleacher section began to serenade the adjacent section of Navy fans and uniformed Midshipmen.

''F--- you, Navy. F---you, Navy. F--- you, Navy."

"There were wives and small children up there," said Squires, an academic recruiter for the academy who has been to dozens of away games and never seen such contempt directed at his team. "Our Midshipmen reacted the way they were taught. They didn't respond, but the band started playing 'Anchors Aweigh' to drown them out. Me, I felt like going up there and smacking somebody. I was mad, and it bothered me all weekend."

wow why not bring up the incident from 1912...geez way to be late on this....it was obviously some piece of shit college kids who were in kindergarten when we were in college..fyi...so f them..i can care less about them..they are scum and we can kill them for all i care...doesn't change the fact about how i root for my team

It wasn't posted here at all that I saw... old news? Maybe, but its new to the Rant. I'm not suggesting it should change anything about you rooting for them. Just calling out the douchebags who were doing this. EVERY team has classless fans.

nah...no homerism here...the kids were wrong and deserve to be trampled to death..show respect for our the kids who are going to fight the wars our stupid gov't enters...plus they are a program much like ours..trying to build up to be an elite team..i respect that......then again it beats watching michigan fans crying in the stands when they lose to a 1-AA school

yea they played terrible...couldn't stop the run and deserved to lose that game...but like i said earlier to you...when we lose to a 1AA team..you can laugh and/or talk shit...till then...shhhhhh
