I think you missed his point... Tennessee is the 6th best team (according to the RPI rankings) in the nation. Meaning they played one of the hardest schedules in the nation. Which helped big time in getting them that #2 seed.

i get the rpi sayin they were 6...that's cause of the in conference games and the power ranking on the sec...it has nothing to do with the awful out of conference games they played...that has to be the weakest non conference schedule of any 2 seed

I'm not going to argue that.But I wouldn't say playing Texas and Memphis is awful.Especially going into the season figuring it would be huge if Tennessee could just make the NIT.It's not like this is a top program trying to just play weak out of conference
teams.This is a historicly weak team itself.

despite the team strength, they won enough game to put themselves in the ncaa....once that's done, you have to look at the rest to determine where they should be seeded and they didn't play as tough a schedule as the rest..so yea a 4 or 5 seed would be more reasonable
