Well, there were 4 teams in the top 25 playing last night and all of them won. Looks like Gonzaga had a tough time with Western Kentucky though...

Big game tonight with #7 Tennessee visiting Huggins and the West Virginia Mountaineers.

Well, Tennessee was able to squeak out a win vs. West VA. Well done by the Vols.

Yesterday saw some pretty fun games with #4 KU barely getting by Arizona in OT (I bet the Cats would have won that game with Lute there,) NC State upsetting #20 Villanova on some last second free throws, and USC DESTROYING #19 Southern Illinois. The rest of the top 25 won their games pretty easily.

How about K-State right now? Michael Beasley has been pretty much everything he was advertised to be and the Wildcats sure look tough. Of course, just about anyone would look tough versus the cupcakes that K-State has played. Looks like the basketball team learned a thing or two from Bill Snyder about scheduling cupcakes...

They are only going to get better as the season goes on. OJ Mayo is a stud, and will get better and better this year. He's already the leading scorer in the PAC 10.

Agreed about Beasley... but like you were kind of saying, i want to see what he can do against some of the better teams. Right now he looks like he could be the obvious #1 pick in next years draft. How many freshman have the ability to put up 30 points and 20 rebounds in a game? Sick.

In the past I have always seen the Pac-10 as being kind of sketchy but USC does indeed look like the real deal.

The Vols mens team was exposed by the great guard play of Texas
The Vols were sloppy,impatient,and missed to many shots in the paint.They have a lot of cleaning up to do.

Indeed. But at least they lost to a ranked team. #8 Indiana lost by 15 to an unranked Xavier squad and #23 Virginia lost to Seton Hall by 14. The early season rankings don't usually mean much and right now it seem that no one is safe (except maybe NC!)
