I was not there but,
I pre-ranked a little with some Lightning players.My big big problem is Kovalchuk and not thinking about that before the draft.Is he gonna get signed,keep him on the bench just in case or should I dump him? When I saw his situation I knew I was screwed so I went ahead and got Dave Andreychuk too just to add another Lightning player.I know I have no shot now because of the Kovalchuk mistake, so I will just have some fun with it.
Funny thing is I pre reanked Esche sort of high to steal him from you,but I got paid back big time by you and Marty

ATLANTA (AP) -- Ilya Kovalchuk will be in Atlanta this week to see his new daughter, and the Thrashers hope they can meet with their holdout forward during his visit.

Kovalchuk, a restricted free agent, is threatening to play this season in his native Russia if he can't agree on a contract with the Thrashers. ``I think things will start to shake out in the next little while,'' general manager Don Waddell said Monday.

Well I tryed to get as much Nova Scotia content on my team and did ok but missed a couple good ones in Crosby and Glen Murray.

Tanguay,Nagy and Giguere all played their Major Jr here.
Kolzig played AAA here and beat a buddy of mine out of the keeper job
and Sim is a home grown lad

Was gonna pick Jody Shelly for some toughness but I figured I needed a bit more talent

Hey Goat... any way we can change the amount of teams that make the playoffs? I know hockey lets too many teams in, but i'm thinking that 6 out of 8 teams in the playoffs is TOO MANY! It really makes the regular season worthless. All you have to do is pay attention and you are in.

I'm voting that 4 of the 8 should make the playoffs. Thoughts?

I don't think you can change the number of teams to make the playoffs in yahoo hockey.

If you can, I would definitely be fine with 4 in the playoffs or championship bracket or whatever it is called and the other 4 in the consolation. Right now it is 6 and 2.

I also think Beers should trade me Brodeur. What kind of laughingstock of a Flyers fan would route for him anyway?

edit: There is no option to change playoff team number. And i don't think it makes the regular season pointless, i want to friggin' win the regular season and then talk shit to Satan.

No problem, just a suggestion. I thought it would be more interesting down the stretch when there is a position battle for 4th. It really doesn't matter to me either though, I'm still going to win the regular season too.

My only REAL request is that everyone keeps up with their team and pays attention to it all year. It sucks when there are dead teams in a league.

LMAO! He told me about that trade. It looked like a good trade, but it's so hard to trade the...cough...best...cough goalie in the league. (I gotta rince my mouth out with soap now.) However, I'm happy he won't trade him to you... anything to piss a devil fan off is okay by me!
