Excuse me if I am ignorant but what is HLD, BLK, and WP for pitchers, balks, wild pitches and soemthing else? Just curious.

still doesn't make sense to me...NONE of my pitchers had that stat whatever it is last year so who knows

From what I know it is a stat for middle relievers, say they come into a game and maintain the lead whilst pitching, they get credited with a hold. Best I can do as far as an explanation.

Holds won't happen hardly ever in our league. That stat is only for middle relievers. Its used when a pitcher comes in the game in the 7th or 8th inning in a potential save situation and doesn't blow the save.

For example... starter leaves after 6, reliever comes in and pitches the 7th inning while his team is up by 1 to 3 runs... if he doesn't blow the lead he gets credited with a hold. And if another reliever pitches the 8th and doesn't blow the lead he will also get a hold.

Since middle relievers don't usually get used in fantasy baseball, you won't see too many people get points for that. But if you pick one up it could give you an extra win in that catagory every week.
