The main reason I think it should be mutally agreed upon that he takes time off is because the media will never let this go. The media, the trial, all new information, Vick trying to practice during this, the fans accepting the fact that he is innocent until proven otherwise, the teams dealings with the media and the fact that this could very possibly happen during the season...the team has to be prepared for that and what easier way for all those involved than to have him taking the time off to deal with this.

This is not a case of domestics or bar fights this is much worse than most arrests and legal violations that happen to players that get their "time in court" nicely after the season.

The public clearing of his name I said simply becuase if he is truely innocent and I were him I would hold a brief no questions press conference and say I am innocent of this and plan to take time away from my team and from the league to deal with this and when I am proven innocent of these charges, I will return in hopes that this has not ruined my stature with the fans, league, players and owners, thank you.

Here is a question

How many of us would keep our jobs if we were indicted? We may not get fired right away but I would think most if not all companies would push us out. Why is Vick so different?

Gotcha Beers... makes sense i guess... just probably not the way I would handle it. But when i'm charged with dog fighting, we'll know what i really do.

Daddy, you can't compare our jobs to NFL QB's. The way we are handled is totally different from them, like it or not. If you mess up, you are easily replaced by someone who can do your job equally as well. Teams NEED their starting QB's because they are worse off without them.

A little different circumstances IMO. Pacman was there, of that there is no doubt, and he has had other issues of a similiar vein.

Oh agreed... but if he was convicted it would make these two totally different situations.

And who knows if they will be better off or not. But most teams would be crushed if they lost their starting QB. But thats not the point. The point is its different from normal jobs because teams can be financially crushed by losing players. Our jobs won't miss us.

Fights would end when one dog died or with the surrender of the losing dog, which was sometimes put to death by drowning, strangulation, hanging, gun shot, electrocution or some other method, according to the documents.

This is what their punishment should be... anyone involved should have to fight someone else involved. Winner gets to go to prison, loser spins a wheel and see which one of the above they get.

That is fucking disgusting. Fuck anyone who does this crap! A six year prison sentence (which was a speculation for being found guilty) is NOT justice for this IMO!

Yeah no kidding. One article said they were sometimes killed by people slamming them on the ground. You know that doesn't kill them the first slam every time. How any person can do this is beyond me. Sitting in a jail cell isn't near enough punishment.

i dont think pacman has been convicted. he just has a lot of run ins with the law. so if thats true jay has to support pacman, which is fine. to me i think goodell has the right to suspend them.
