Persons charged with criminal activity:
Any Covered Person arrested for or charged with conduct prohibited by this policy will be required to undergo a consultation and additional counseling as directed. Failure to comply with the consultation and counseling (including being arrested for or charged with additional criminal activity during the evaluation and counseling period) shall itself be conduct detrimental to the National Football League and shall be punishable by fine or suspension at the discretion of the Commissioner. Disposition of the criminal proceeding: Any Covered Person convicted of or admitting to a criminal violation (including a plea to a lesser included offense; a plea of nolo contendere or no contest; or the acceptance of a diversionary program, deferred adjudication, disposition of supervision, or similar arrangement) will be subject to discipline as determined by the Commissioner. Such discipline may include a fine, suspension without pay and/or banishment from the League. Any Covered Person convicted of or admitting to a second criminal violation will be suspended without pay or banished for a period of time to be determined by the Commissioner. http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/news/story?id=2798214 There it is in black and white boys and girls. Roger Goodell has every right under his NFL Personal Conduct Policy to suspend Vick or anyone else who is merely accused of doing something that they shouldn't be doing. Jay, I don't think that it is a matter of the NFL deciding who is guilty or not. I think that it is simply a method for Goodell to try and maintain control over public image. Additionally, this is different from the Duke debacle in that it was a county DA that was leading that charge; here, it is the Feds and don't look now but these guys don't lose. They have a 90+% conviction rate due in large part because they don't indict cases unless they know they can win. In my humble opinion; Mike Vick (aka Ron Mexico, aka Ookie) played his last game in the NFL on Sunday December 31, 2006 in philly. He lost that one too. |

The more I have thought about this and heard the disgusting tales I do want Vick suspended until this is over. Letting him play in some ways supports his horrid actions whether or not they are true at this point. He may not be guilty or may not be found guilty but there is obvious involvement one way or another. Allowing him to play and be paid to me is disgraceful. I would hope any and all football fans would NOT attend any game he was a part of.
A pile of shit is a pile of shit and needs to be discarded...Vick doesn't even hold water to a pile of shit in my eyes. I'd rather eat that shit than watch him ever play another game in the NFL. Hopefully if he sees time behind bars for this there are some real dog lover inmates to welcome him! |

I think he should be suspended as well but I don't think Goodell has the balls to do it.

I hope one of you get suspended from work for something someone accuses you of.
That is all. |

This is clearly more than being accused of something. As I stated earlier, the feds don't indict someone that they aren't sure of. They have 4 witnesses. Again, this is more than a rumor.

A federal indictment is a lot different than rumors. And to say it won't effect you would just not be true. He has a LOT to lose and probably wants to keep most of it. I think he will end up suspended.

Didn't read the rest of the post.. so this has probably been said, but
Happiest Guy in Atlanta's organization-Joey Harrington... another chance to suck! Unhappiest- Arthur Blank and Rich Mckay, they have to be kicking themselves in the ass for dealing schaub! And you know Schaub is laughing all the way to the bank. Turns out Michael and Marcus Vick do have quite a few things in common. Someone should smack the shit out of their no good parents |

He had a ton of endorsements when he first joined the league, Nike was his last endorsement deal-plus the owners statement didn't indicate he was remotely safe from being suspended

As of now Nike is keeping his cleats on the shelves and haven't terminated the relationship, but with is shoes supposed to being released in a month design and production were started along with marketing so Nike is taking a bath
